The Project As the saying say's, "Good things comes to those who wait" and for sure this album was birth in patience. RG better know as Rick Gregory birthed the concept of his debut album release back in "02" with the full support of James Ford who @ the time was and is the Executive of the 2-7-2 Records Label. What an opportunity it was for RG to totally show forth what his assignment was on this earth. This right here is contemporary urban gospel music following paths set forth by Fred Hammond, Smokie Norful and The Williams Brothers. Don't sleep on this right here.

Let Your Mercies It's independent releases such as this that make nuflavamag.8m.com continue to do what it does. Expose those that need to be heard in this "slept on" industry. Just to waken ya'll up real quick his highlight moves include, being a former drummer for grammy award winner Hezekiah Walker and has worked with artist such as Timothy Wright, Faith Evans, to Fred Hammond, just to name a few this is his first solo project and sure to have the Gospel Industry alive & well. Just Believe At just the tender age of 14, Yatron was already laying foundation work on her future career within the music industry and with the fruits of her labour year after birthed an album not to be slept on by ant means possible. Her soulful and heart-felt vocals separate her from the rest. Both songwriter and co-producer, on her debut, the album is very much worth getting hold of while still available. its not very often you hear of independent artists pulling crowds of well over 10,000 in the Richmond, VA zone. "Just Believe" is a mixture of pop, jazz and r&b. Highly recommended for true seekers.

Rising Inspirational projects are sometimes only played in the times of trouble and misery but Marcia has broken that tradition with this release as it does not only deliver joy in the times of trouble but also teaches you have to remain joyous at all times. Rising is packed full of songs that reach out not only to saved folks but also to those who are seeking for hope, peace and a reason for this life and what we are here for. For those clubs that seem to have a problem excepting projects within this genre, DJ's will have a reason to smile when they hear "Time & time Again" featuring rapper JAS.

You in Me Its a good thing that music has no geographical
barriers nor does it rest upon a nation with the
highest support for independent labels! Born in the
beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago,
Nigel's passion for music expanded beyond the walls of
tradition to seeing his production, vocals and writing
skills being approachable from within the secular
world of music. Nigel Soyer is a promising artist that
is showcasing his talent not only to his audience but
also to those whom have been lead away from the
creator above. If your looking for a variety of styles
to suit your mode to, You in Me is the
approachable project for you.

Lori Perry:
I Found It In You Many of her fans may have know Lori from her earlier days
recording for Zebra and MCA Records and also with her
performance with sister group Perri back in the
late 80's. With this 2005 release now her second solo
to date, the traces of being a former background
vocalist for Anita Backer still remain. Lori's
vocals are enriched with soul-stirring cords
especially traceable on project title I found it in
you. And, although not a single track on the
project was recorded Live, this release will surely
leave the listener gaggin' for a Live recording
experience.

Sean Reed:
The Next Dimension of Worship This is the 2006 release from Sean Reed, a
church project that really should of had no any other
style but worship in it. The content and the sincerity
of The Next Dimension of Worship is only
found in the slow-jams which speaks best for the
entire project. Sean best directs his audience into
worship on tracks like; Release Yourself, Never B
The Same and At Your Feet. Most choir
projects are noisy sound wise, no disrespect to the
content and this was the case on this project.

MDD:
Modern Day David (2) Modern Day David aka Lawrence Williams is back with
his second release which again, remains self-titled.
The opening track Nobody's Gonna Stop Ya is a
Nelly sound-a-like club hit that will have his
fans and audience hoping not to hear the end of the
track! Unfortunately, its the only track on the album
that deserved remaining on the repeat mode. Go n
Get it is a slower follow up but may not have the
same attention as the opener. MDD spills a bit of rock
mid way through the album as, this is when production
begins to loose its quality however, this is
recovered towards the end of the project with positive
slow jams.
